What
makes the MP TROLL 9000 the best choice for water quality
monitoring? |
 |
The
Most Sensors in a 45mm (1.75") diameter body
The TROLL 9000 is the ultimate tool for profiling, surveying and
long-term monitoring. It features the most sensors in a 1.75"
(45mm) housing packing in 5-sensors ports plus temperature and
barometric pressure sensors. The compact design allows for all of the
standard parameters such DO, conductivity, pH, ORP, temperature and
level to measure an additional ISE parameter like pH, ORP, ph/ORP combo,
Nitrate, Chloride, Ammonium. Each sensor has been specially designed by
In-Situ for field use to provide extra long-life and low-drift.

SMART
SENSORS
New "Smart Sensor" technology remembers its calibration so you
won't have to. What does it mean for the sensors to be
"Smart". First, this means that they are ¡®Plug and Play¡¯
meaning -- most sensors can be plugged in any sensor port allowing for
custom or redundant sensor configurations. Second, since they remember
their calibration coefficients, you can calibrate them on a separate
unit (in the office for example) and plug them into completely different
unit (perhaps one that is in the field) without any need for
recalibration. A user may have several sensors that can be simply
rotated among multiple units. Think of it--no need to calibrate in the
field. Just plug them into one of the optional ports and they are ready
to go!
| Most
sensors can be added to any port! |
 |
In-Situ
has revolutionized the way you use sensors. Our Smart Ports™
allow you to create custom or redundant sensor configurations by
adding the sensors of your choice to the port you want.
1.
ISE* (pH, ORP, ph/ORP combo, Nitrate, Chloride,
Ammonium)
2. Dissolved Oxygen or ISE (pH, ORP, Nitrate,
Chloride, Ammonium)
3. ISE (pH, ORP, ph/ORP combo, Nitrate,
Chloride, Ammonium)
4. Conductivity or ISE (pH, ORP, ph/ORP combo,
Nitrate, Chloride, Ammonium)
5. Fixed Port - Pressure, Level, Depth, Open
Channel Flow, Turbidity (when available)
Temperature is standard on all units and Barometric pressure is
optional.
ISE = Ion Selective Electrode (single or
combo e.g. pH/ORP)
For
example, here are two configurations that are possible.
Many more exist!
Example configuration #1: DO, Conductivity,
Temperature, pH/ORP, Nitrate, Level
Example configuration #2: Temperature, pH/ORP,
Nitrate, Chloride, Ammonium

The
importance of stirring for ISE sensors
Did you know that stirring is not only for DO? Stirring greatly
improves readings from ISE sensors such as pH, ORP, nitrate,
chloride, ammonium, etc. Since ISE sensors use reference gels
and solutions that slowly leach from the sensor into the
solution, it is important to stir the sample to remove these
interferences.
Up to
this time, stirring with field instruments has not be practical
due to the excessive power requirements. Additionally, stirrers
that are currently available on some multi-parameter units are
simply too turbid on the sample to obtain quality measurements.
In-Situ's
Stirrer solves these problems by slowly and deliberately
stirring the sample. It is similar to those recommended for use
in a laboratory providing minimal sample agitation without being
too turbid. Plus, a single user-replaceable D-size alkaline
battery provides power for over 6 months! The result? Laboratory
grade measurements in the field!

All TROLL
9000¡¯s ship factory pre-calibrated and are ready
to use right out of the box! Each unit is subjected
to intense environmental testing and calibration is certified to NIST
traceable standards. A calibration report is included with every unit.
Plus sensors are automatically compensated real-time. With this peace of
mind, you can spend more time getting data!
| |
|
 |
For
the ultimate in convenience try our ¡°Quick-Cal¡±solutions for
simple, painless calibrations. Simply place the TROLL 9000 in
the solution and press ¡°calibrate¡±—it¡¯s that easy!
Quick-Cal solutions can be used to simultaneously calibrate D.O.,
conductivity, pH and ORP sensors. Traditional calibration
methods are also available. |
Our
Customers and their clients demand accuracy and
precision. All units must pass extensive environmental
testing prior to shipment that is traceable to NIST standards. Our
published specifications are very conservative and reflect our high
regard for the integrity of data in all environmental conditions, not
just the lab. In fact, our specifications include several margins of
error so you have confidence that the TROLL 9000 will perform as
specified. We stand behind our accuracy by providing a calibration
report with EVERY MP TROLL 9000.

A
powerful internal data logger is the key to real-time profiling and
long-term monitoring. The internal logger allows for up to 16 tests to
be scheduled run or completed and stored while a test is running. Four
tests types are available including linear, linear average, event and
logarithmic. With 4MB of onboard memory, you can record
over 1-million data points. The memory is non-volatile
so your memory is always protected even if the power is disconnected.
The low-power circuitry allows the MP TROLL 9000 to be deployed for
months at a time, using off-the shelf alkaline D-Size batteries.
Download
data anytime, even when a test is running--there is no need to stop it.
Only new data is downloaded and is automatically appended to the
original file to save you time. If the data has not be previously
downloaded or if a different computer is attached, the entire file will
be transferred. All test data is stored in memory until removed, even if
another test is running.

"Quick Connect" cable system as well as lightweight,
high-quality 316L stainless steel body. The versions consist of
"Basic" and "Profiler" - instruments
specifically designed for quick basic measurements of surface
water. "Profiler XP" - designed for more extensive
quick measurements of surface water. "Professional" -
allowing for basic monitoring of either ground or surface water
with advanced memory and data logging capabilities.
"Professional XP" - designed for extensive long-term
monitoring with advanced memory and data logging capabilities.
"LTS" or Level, Temperature
and one water quality Sensor - Allows
for precision ground water measures of level, temperature and
one water quality sensor and includes advanced data logging
functions. Units with memory functions are enhanced with up to
4mb of non-volatile memory, allowing logging of over 1 million
