The TSIS
Automatic is designed for the ultrasonic inspection of steam
turbine shafts from the bore, it is capable of inspecting bore
sizes from 75mm to 254mm.
The TSIS
Manual is designed for the ultrasonic inspection of steam turbine
shafts from the bore, it is capable of covering bore diameters
from 70mm to 165mm, customised units can also be provided for
sizes outside of this range.
This unit
is designed to provide axial and rotary movement of the standard
Phoenix Inspection Heads (TSIS Manual). The unit is controlled
by a stand-alone controller with a P.C. Serial interface (PC
not supplied).
This unit
will give accurate size of any flaw indication in Turbine Shafts.
The unit can handle diameters ranging from 70 to 160mm. Defects
can be found using the Phoenix Turbine Shaft Inspection Systems
(see above).
The Turbine
Rotor Inspection Manipulator was designed and manufactured to
meet the power industries demanding specifications for the inspection
of Turbine Discs. The current unit operates with the latest
carbon fibre technology to provide accurate placement of the
transducers.
The Phoenix
End Ring Manipulator enables operators to scan 100% of the external
surface of generator end rings including those with tapers at
one or both ends without removing the rotor from the stator.
