Multichannel Air-Coupled Ultrasonic System

The SONDA MUX is a PC controlled, air-coupled, multichannel ultrasonic instrument with advanced features for automated nondestructive material testing.

FEATURES

Each channel consists of an autonomous electronic board (module) and containes all the components and features of a complete ultrasonic instrument, such as:

Burst pulser with tuneable frequency and PRF
Adjustable gain and filtering
Digital signal processing (FIR filters)
3 gates with alarm functions
Measurements for numerical and graphical display of peak amplitude and Time of Flight.
Two analog outputs (e.g. amplitude and TOF) for C-scan imaging
Display freeze mode
Peak values freeze mode
External or internal triggering
External pulser is connected to each channel, providing two high power outputs
Driving transducers of 50, 120, 200, and 400 kHz.

Multichannel operation and display by the QMI 2000 SW application software:

All ultrasonic parameters adjustable for each channel individually
Individual activation of each channel
Synchronized operation of multiple channels with one selectable master channel
Ultrasonic signal of each channel displayed on main screen or on separate panel
Main screen and separate panels display multiple ultrasonic signals
Graphical charts displaying selected measurements as time progresses
Active output switch controlled by alarm setting (e.g. for paint gun)
4, 8, or 16 channels assembled in case or racks and cabinets
