Leonard Shaw invented dry air hygrometers 50 years ago.

The sensors which measure water vapour pressure, (w.v.p.) were designed to saturate at a maximum wet reading of minus 20 degrees C. dew point, to provide a check for accuracy.

Any variation in room temperature alters the w.v.p. but this is avoided by the low sensor saturation level. This is well known world wide as, Shaw 'Automatic Calibration".

The world’s largest hygrometer sales followed as a result of this lead in experience and skill. Many thousands of Shaw Automatic Dewpoint Meters are now in use.

Users should note that the "Certificate of Instrinsic Safety" is not valid when any sensor other than a Shaw is fitted.
