STD Dust Monitors              Triboelectric Dust Monitors

Sintrol STD Dust Monitors

The monitors are employed in a variety of industries from powder and bulk solids ranging from chemical and petrochemical to food and metal. Cement industry, pulp and paper, smelters, foundries, fertilisers, pharmaceutical industry are among our steady customers. With a Minimum Detection Limit of 0.015 mg/m©ø, our dust monitors are employed in power plants for emission- or stack-monitoring to comply with stringent environmental regulations for dust emissions. They are capable of detecting solid solid particles as small as 0.3µ. The monitors are installed downstream of cyclones and/or filters at pressures of up to 16 bar and temperatures of up to 700 C. Intrinsically safe models are available for hazardous environments. They are used to monitor filter performance and to alert when filters deteriorate or break.

Our monitors are cost-effective, rugged, easy to install and almost maintenance-free. With extensive testing at our own test facility and continuous product development, we are second to none. We strive to be a natural supplier of particle monitors, a reliable partner and preferably a market leader.

Particulate Monitoring By Utilising Triboelectric Effect

STD Dust Monitors: Cost-Effective Emission Monitoring

STD STD Dust Monitors utilise triboelectric effect. When solid particles impact an isolated sensor probe or pass near it, a small electrical charge is transferred from the particles to the probe. The charge, amplified and converted to a standard 4..20 mA signal, is proportional to the solids loading in a duct or pipe. The signal can be calibrated to give particle concentration in a gas or emission rate (e.g. mg/m©ø). Covering a wide measuring range (0.015 to 1000 000 mg/m©ø) with a particle size as small as 0.3µm, STD monitors are ideal for stack monitoring for environmental reasons. They are ideal instruments to detect filter deterioration and/or breakage. They can be used before and after a cyclone or a filter unit to measure filtration efficiency. Equipped with alarm relays they are employed in process industry for process control.

Connected to a PC or a laptop and using DustGate A/D converter and DustLog software, data can be logged, stored and reported (e.g. environmental reporting). STD Dust Monitors are used also to optimise process runtime, minimise product loss, and to reducing maintenance.

In addition to monitoring dust emissions they are used for:
